The inaugural West Louisville Soccer Boys and Girls competitive teams hit the pitch for the Fall 2023 season. Both teams fielded players born in the 2012 calendar year or before. This fall, the teams participated in the Kentucky Amateur Soccer League (KASL) playing clubs throughout Kentuckiana.
Participants for our competitive teams were identified following their participation in our spring recreation league and their participation in our summer training sessions. Participants were selected based upon their enthusiasm for the game, their commitment to attending trainings, their attitudes with coaches and teammates, and their demonstrated improvement in their play.
West Louisville Soccer expects those players selected to embody the core values of our club including hard work on and off the field, always showing respect for family, teammates, coaches, referees, and opponents, and being examples of the under publicized positive potential of West Louisville.
Our competitive teams train and play their home games at the world class Louisville Urban League/Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Campus located in the heart of West Louisville at 3029 West Muhammad Ali Blvd.
Uniforms are generously sponsored by HJI Supply Solutions, Kentucky’s largest minority owned business.
West Louisville Soccer takes great pride in providing access to the game of soccer to boys and girls living in and attending school in West Louisville. For many of our participants, playing in our Recreational league is the first opportunity that they have had to participate in organized sports.
