The inaugural West Louisville Soccer Boys and Girls competitive teams hit the pitch for the Fall 2023 season. In the Fall of 2025, West Louisville Soccer expanded to 6 teams in 4 different age groups (U11 – U14) and over 90 participants, all competing in the Kentucky Select Soccer League (KSSL). In just their first season in the KSSL, West Louisville Soccer Club’s U12 Boys teams finished the season as CHAMPIONS of their KSSL Division!
Participants for our competitive teams were identified through tryouts and following their participation in our spring recreation league and their participation in our summer training sessions. Participants were selected based upon their enthusiasm for the game, their commitment to attending trainings, their attitudes with coaches and teammates, and their demonstrated improvement in their play.
West Louisville Soccer expects those players selected to embody the core values of our club : DISCIPLINE on and off the field, RESPECT for self, family, teammates, coaches, referees, and opponents, a commitment to SELF IMPROVEMENT, each and every day, and being POSITIVE examples of the potential for greatness that lies West Louisville.
Our competitive teams train and play their games at Louisville Central High School, The Academy at Shawnee, and New Walnut Street Park
Uniforms are generously sponsored by HJI Supply Solutions, Kentucky’s largest minority owned business.
West Louisville Soccer takes great pride in providing access to the game of soccer to boys and girls living in and attending school in West Louisville. For many of our participants, playing in our Recreational league is the first opportunity that they have had to participate in organized sports. Starting in the Spring of 2022, West Louisville Soccer partnered with Jefferson County Public Schools for its Spring Recreation League. Starting with 3 schools and 45 participants, the league has now expanded to include 30 schools and nearly 500 participants! Participation is open to boys and girls in good academic standing attending JCPS elementary schools located in West and Southwest Louisville.
West Louisville Soccer provides coaches along with all necessary equipment to each participating school. All participants receive a jersey, socks, and training 1-2 times per week. Trainings take place directly after school at the participants’ school and games are played at Russell Lee Park and Wyandotte Park.
The season concludes with a season ending tournament hosted at the Louisville City/Racing Louisville Academy complex.
